Merry Christmas! Now is the time to especially remember our ancestors and be thankful for our family. Today, my father and I got a chance to talk about our new project the family will be working on to document our lineage. We will be creating a blog, where we upload pictures and stories capturing our family and ancestors. They we will have family members comment on the documents, including information and reflections. My dad and I are working on scanning some photos throughout the break and I’m looking forward to choosing some really special photos, especially ones that capture my Puerto Rican family growing up in the South Bronx in the last 60+ years.
We had been discussing doing this blog since the summer, in addition to video taping interviews with the family. Finally, we are realizing this project and it makes me look forward to recording our cultura.
In closing to this post, I thank my family that reign from above and watch me every day, sprinkling their ancient blessings.
